Aamir Khan’s new TV series ‘Satyamev Jayate’ focuses on a patriot’s mindset about the harsh realities of India and is tailored to connect with Indians across all financial and social strata. Skoda Auto India, recognising the opportunity to connect with its target customers, has signed on as the show’s official partner.
Skoda Auto India Marketing Head Kamal Basu said, “Skoda India is extremely proud to be associated with Satyamev Jayate, a show that will connect with the Indian audience not just due to its content, but also its contemporary relevance. Having spent a decade in India, we felt that this association has come at the right time for the brand and will further strengthen Skoda’s values in the minds of our target audience. We expect this partnership to be effective and successful due to Aamir Khan’s powerful first time presence on TV and Star’s network strength (the channel network on which the show will air).”
To be aired across multiple channels on the Star network Satyamev Jayate will reach out to over 40 lakh viewers in India in multiple languages. This gives Skoda the opportunity to come up with an innovative ad campaign. The show will make its debut on May 6, 2012 at 11am on all Star TV channels.
The Czech car maker currently has five vehicles in its India model line-up, namely, the Fabia hatchback, Rapid mid-size sedan, Laura (D-segment sedan), Superb (entry-level luxury sedan) and the Yeti SUV. Skoda has also launched a slightly stripped-down and affordable base ‘Ambition’ variant of the Superb at a price of Rs 17.6 lakh for the petrol option and Rs 22.5 lakh for the diesel spec.
